Autocamping "Matija"

In this informal and small car-camping, one can spend active or also relaxing vacations.
Those that would like to enjoy the vacation under free heaven, certainly find a suitable place here in the shadow of the olive trees. This wonderful island of the silence and peace is a place where the tourism begins just now. Here, the heavy heat and the smog of the cities is a pale memory.
The camping stretches over a surface of altogether 10’000 m2 of which the 2/3 under olive trees. It offers place for 50 camping-units. A spacious access allows big vehicles / mobile homes to arrive there without problem. The place is levelled well and is covered of lawn.
Distance up to the beach amounts to 10 m. The autocamp "Matija" disposes of water and electricity supplies (fuse 25 Amp.), of sufficiently refrigerators, two big grills and numerous sanitary facilities with hot and cold showers. A washing machine and 6 conventional and 1 chemical toilets complete the installation. On the terrain is an illuminated tennis court and a restaurant (only for guests of the camp).Camping-guests pay only the half for the tennis court (20 HRK per hour).

 

 

The restaurant has an extensive offer at sea-specialties (everything newly from the sea) as well as at Dalmatian and international dishes. A store is to 100 meters of the autocamp; restaurants, coffee-bars and other stores are to 500 m. A shopping pickup comes every morning with fresh bread into the camp directly.

 
Indications for the journey:
On the inshore road, take to the crossing the direction "Island of Murter".
In the village of Tisno, drive over the bridge and you reach the camp after 5 Km.

Neighborhood
 

The camp is surrounded of picturesque localities and natural beauties . The national parks of Kornati and Krka should be mentioned in particular. The river “Krka” curves on 72 Km (short distance for a stream) through the deep throats until the sea. On its course, it forms numerous and magnificent waterfalls, cascades and lakes. It is the case in Skradinski Buk: the stream creates the highest waterfall of Europe ( 46 meters), a very beautiful and exceptional natural phenomenon. These waterfalls are 30 Km distant of the autocamp „Matija “and only 5 Km from the romantic beautiful city of Skradin.
 
The national park of Kornati, the pearl of the Croatian Adriatic, includes a group of 141 islands and reefs. Thanks to the intact nature and their exceptional beauty, the Kornatis islands are a hymn to the nature. Each diver will be enchanted by the clear water and the submarine species variety.
 
Admission tickets for both national parks may be purchased at Camp Matija:
For the Kornati National Park a reduction of 25% is offered

For those that don't like many the tumult of tourists, we recommend to visit the autocamp "Matija" once in May and June or in September and October. During this period , here is still everything quietly and without agitation.
Therefore, full recuperation is guaranteed. You will never forget this time .
 
! Attention. Important information !
You will find the caravan park "Matija" about 100 metres beyond
the caravan park "Plitka Vala".
