The little vilage of Soline founded in 1825 by the
family Petra Srena.
The name points out that in the bay of Soline Benedictine monks
mined salt in the past. The bay is situated at the canal which connects
the Adriatic Sea with the Large Lake on the Mljet north island.
Soline is surrounded by ancient pine forests which are spread out
all over the island. In connection with the establishment of the
Mljet National Park the wonderful pine forests were put under nature
protection and were spared from logging.
Beautiful beaches invite to take a swim and unforgettable sunsets
can be enjoyed in the evening.
This are only a few reasons why the guests of Soline are longing
to visit that unique place again.
