The most important communications of the Croatian
traffic system lead from Zagreb to Rijeka and from Zagreb to Split,
and especially important is the Adriatic tourist road along Croatian
coast.
The sea traffic is extremely important for Croatia.
The passenger ships and ferryboats connect Croatian ports with
islands and with other ports in Italy or Greece.

The air traffic, that is also very important for the Croatian
coast, is getting more developed because of needs of modern tourism.
The larger airports are in Pula, Rijeka (on the island of Krk),
Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik.
Recently, one smaller airport for tourist airplanes has been built
on the island of Brac and there are plans for building similar
ones on the islands Hvar and Vis.
That would make Croatian islands closer to European tourists.
