The village Orašac is located at the bottom of the mountains Vracevo brdo (442 m) and Golo brdo (298 m). A little bit above the village you can find the fortified summer house (built around 1700) of the Austrian governor in Dubrovnik, named Filippo Saponaro.

A little bit underneath the village, at the brink of high coast reefs, are the ruins of the once monumental castle Arapovo situated. 

In Orašac a large new tourist complex called "Dubrovacki vrtovi sunca" (sun gardens of Dubrovnik) was built recently. This new apartment estate offers up to 2’000 beds and disposes of restaurants, swimming pools, terraces and sports facilities.
